Balls: A Complete Guide

Ball types and rarity

There are four ball types:

  • Beginner balls. These cannot  be upgraded. You start with these balls.
  • Power balls are the heaviest. These balls are engineered to knock down a large set of pins.
  • Bounce balls are designed to give you a better chance of completing splits.
  • Precise balls are easier to use and weigh less that power balls. These balls are great for knocking down a small group of pins. Their main advantage is their bigger size.

Balls have different qualities:

  • Common balls have blue cards. When a new common ball is unlocked, its level is 1.
  • Rare balls have gold cards. When a new rare ball is unlocked, its level is 3.
  • Epic balls have violet cards. When a new epic ball is unlocked, its level is 5.

 

How do I get more balls?

Standard balls become available once you reach certain Alleys. This means that they can start appearing in cases. You can check this in the ball's description (tap on the ball).

Upon reaching the Alley, you get an opportunity to get cards specific to the Alley though the following method:

  • Unlocking cases that you get for victories
  • Play a game and claim a daily reward
  • Getting a crown case
  • Getting cases for completing missions
  • Taking a free case in the Shop (with a chance)
  • Purchasing in the shop
  • Getting a case as a league reward

When you receive a ball card for the first time, that ball is unlocked. You can get its cards from any case, including cases from lower-level Alleys.

New balls do not drop often. If you've reached a certain Alley it doesn't guarantee that all balls of that Alley are being unlocked. The positive side of this is that the fewer balls you have, the easier it is to upgrade them.

But if your goal is to collect all balls, then you can purchase Collector's Cases in the Shop, which have a 100% chance of giving you a new ball.

Please note, that it's not necessary to purchase them. All balls, except premium and rank balls, can be unlocked for free during the game, but it might take some time.

 

What different ball stats represent?

Upgrading balls will affect two of their stats:

  • Weight — the higher this stat, the higher level pin you can knock down.
  • Hook Control — the higher this stat, the slower the pointer moves on the hook controller.

There are three parameters that remain constant with ball upgrades.

  • Speed — determines how fast the ball rolls down the lane.
  • Guide — the higher this stat, the longer the green predict line is.
  • Hook — the higher this stat, the more intensely a ball can hook.

 

How do I upgrade balls?

Balls can be upgraded in the Arsenal. You need chips and ball cards for upgrading.

The maximum level is 20 for all balls. Keep in mind that after reaching the maximum level for a Ball you will keep getting its cards. These cards will be converted into the chips added to your account.

If you have enough cards to upgrade a ball, there will be a green arrow pointing up next to the progress bar on the ball.

 

By tapping on the ball, you'll see how many chips are required for the next upgrade.

The light gray part is the current value of Power / Speed / Guide / Hook / Hook control. The green part is the value after the upgrade. The dark gray part shows the value at the ball's maximum level.

 

 

Ball comparison and rearrangement

When you start a game, six balls in the ball return system are placed in the exact same order as in your Arsenal. The bowled ball returns to the end of the line.

To change the ball in your deck in the Arsenal, pick a new ball from your available balls, tap on it, then tap on the slot where you want to place it.

You can compare balls in the Arsenal. Tap on the ball, tap Comparison button, then add another ball to the comparison by tapping on it.

 

Which balls are better?

Improving your balls is one of the goals in the game. For a comfortable experience, keep your balls' level no lower than the number of Alley you are playing. For example, if you play on Alley 5 (Asian Drift), make sure your balls are leveled up to at least level 5.

Hello Bowlers! Let's get you started with a quick guide on scoring in the game.   Scoring Basics In Bowling Crew, scoring is straightforward and follows traditional bowling rules. The only difference is that a real game of bowling consists of 10 frames, while a Bowling Crew game consists of 3 frames.   Scoring in Each Frame One point is scored for each pin that is knocked down. However, when all ten pins are knocked down, the scoring works as follows: Strike (X): Knock down all ten pins in one roll. Score 10 plus points from the next two rolls. Open Frame: Score the total pins knocked down if not all pins are down.     Remember that the third frame allows up to three rolls. Get an extra roll for a strike or spare. Every serious player aspires to bowl what is called the Perfect Game. The maximum score for a single frame is 30, so rolling a Perfect Game in Bowling Crew means getting 90 points.   Inviting Friends Bowling is more fun with friends! Here's a quick guide to get you and your buddies rolling strikes together. To invite and play with your friends in the game, please go to the Crew tab.     Inviting a Friend (if your friend hasn’t installed the game yet): Open the Crew tab in Bowling Crew. Tap the inviting yellow button that says “Invite”. Share your invite link with your friend. That's it! And one more thing, when your friend installs the game and completes the tutorial, you both get a special gift!   Adding Friends (if your friend has already installed the game):   Connect Bowling Crew to Facebook in the Crew tab. Make sure both you and your friend allow the game access to your Facebook profiles. How to restore progress

If you have linked your game to a Facebook, Apple, or Google account there will be no problem in restoring your progress at any time.   Please ensure that your Facebook/Apple/Google account is linked to your Bowling Crew profile and that you have access to it or have already logged in. Launch the Bowling Crew app. Hit the Sign In button. Choose the option you want to proceed with.   If you have accidentally chosen the Play button, don’t worry! You still can restore your progress.   Complete the tutorial. Tap on your Avatar in Lobby and connect your Facebook/Apple/Google account again. You will see the in-game profile that was connected to your Facebook/Apple/Google account. If you see the wrong one, please contact our support. We’ll be happy to help!
